Head of VIP Community Relations

Your responsibilities

- Managing global VIP strategies and policies, from concept to successful completion
  • Recommendations, project management, and lead where appropriate, for global concepts and VIP strategies, incl. new (digital) community initiatives
  • Liaise with global VIP Representatives network and global Art Basel offices to align efforts and strategies
  • Lead improvements to operational systems and policies, working closely with other support departments and international teams to ensure consistent approach within the global team
  • Management of global VIP projects and respective teams
  • Global VIP segmentation and review management
  • Reporting for global VIP initiatives, incl. statistical VIP data and survey analysis
  • Global VIP Representatives communications coordination, incl. network evolution tracking, market insights and reports
  • Annual VIP Summit organization, including concept and logistics

- Digital VIP platforms and tools oversight
  • Spearheading Online Viewing Rooms VIP activities and their implementation
  • Project management of digital Art Basel show layer and related VIP initiatives
  • Digital VIP Walk-throughs and event oversight for Art Basel fairs and platforms
  • VIP tool development in coordination with Digital Team
  • Participation in MCH wide CRM project team to drive CRM system transfer

- Global community development with focus on marketing and communications coordination
  • Spearhead development of global communities, including year-round cultivation and benefit implementation for fairs, OVRs and other platforms
  • Project manage Global Patrons benefit across Art Basel fairs and platforms
  • Partner with Content & Communications team on VIP community communications, incl. NL coordination, personalized VIP website creation for various VIP communities, content conceptualization and related content and website reviews
  • Partner with Marketing team on digital assets and publications, such as holiday cards, Global Patrons directory
  • Advise on UX development and implementation on Art Basel website & App

- Team responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Global Head of VIP Relations on annual performance review and evaluation
  • Supervise and ensure professional development of Global VIP Relations Manager

Your profile

  • Higher Education required: Bachelor's degree in art history, business, art management or similar required, Master's degree preferred
  • 6-10 years strategy and project management experience, with focus on community building is a must
  • Ability to think and act strategically, with superior analytical mindset and experience in statistical analysis and reporting
  • Superior ability to solve practical problems, build structures and deal with a variety of unknown
  • Experience in managing complex digital tools, systems and processes, incl. in-depth knowledge CRM applications
  • Substantial track record in client development and community/member benefit implementation, with a strong focus on marketing and communication measures
  • Outstanding communication skills and a track-record as excellent networker
  • Experience with high-level VIPs in a luxury brand or cultural organization, preferably in the art-market industry
  • Team player with a positive working rapport with colleagues
  • Prior experience leading multicultural project teams
  • Highly discreet and customer-oriented personality, with outstanding diplomatic skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Extremely organized, able to multitask, and attentive to details
  • Excellent language skills in English. Additional languages desirable (i.e. German, French, Spanish)
